Description

The African palm tree, particularly the oil palm (Elaeis guineensis), is a tall, slender tree native to West and Central Africa. It features a single trunk and large, feather-like fronds that can grow up to 3 meters long. The tree produces clusters of small, reddish fruit, which are harvested for palm oil. Additionally, the sap of the palm tree is tapped to make traditional palm wine.
